Sambarchitecture documents the informal construction process of a school in Rocinha, one of the largest slums in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The project is a participatory design and construction process made together with the NGO “The Two Brothers Foundation” and locals, built with a budget of 12.000 USD. Sambarchitecture was presented as the outcome of a 5th year architecture project to the Royal Technical University of Stockholm in 2007. It is my first movie ever, it was shot with a cheap camera and produced with iMovie.
